  • I'll be passing through Caldas da Rainha, can I stop by your facility to buy products directly from you?


    We do not sell directly to the public at our facility.

    However, since you'll be in Caldas da Rainha, you can find our products at the Biológicos da Rainha store, located in front of the Cinco Bicas fountain, or at Mercearia Pena on Heróis da Grande Guerra Street.

  • Do your products contain sulfites?

    No.

  • Do your products contain gluten?

    We use wheat and rye flour to seal and clean our still, which is used for producing brandies. While the likelihood of cross-contamination with our other products is very low, we cannot guarantee with 100% certainty that there is no contamination. Therefore, our products may contain traces of gluten.

  • Are your products vegan?

    Yes. We do not use any animal-derived products or additives.

  • How do you ensure the quality control of your products?

    We regularly send our products for quality control analysis to the Instituto do Vinho do Porto for spirits, Laboratórios da ASAE for all other products, and Laboratórios Tomaz for nutritional and other analyses.

  • Do you use glass or plastic bottles?

    We use glass bottles.

  • I bought your vinegar, and after a short while, it developed a gelatinous substance. Is this normal?

    Yes, it's perfectly normal.

    Our vinegar is unpasteurized, which means it's a living or probiotic product—similar to yogurt. As a result, it can become cloudy and develop what is known as the 'mother of vinegar' due to the yeast present in it.

    This phenomenon occurs mainly when the vinegar is stored in a warm place or exposed to sunlight. A simple tip to keep your vinegar clear for a longer time is to store it in the refrigerator. The cold temperatures cause the yeast to enter a dormant state, keeping the vinegar clearer for longer.

    Regarding the bottle you have, if you don't like the appearance, you can filter the vinegar and then store the bottle in the fridge. However, if the appearance doesn't bother you, you can continue using the vinegar as you have so far.

  • I'm looking for unfiltered apple cider vinegar—with the so-called mother of vinegar. Is your vinegar filtered?

    We do filter our vinegar during the bottling process. However, since it is not pasteurized, it naturally develops the mother of vinegar over time. To speed up this process, we recommend leaving your vinegar bottle open and placing it near a window to expose it to light and warmth.

  • What is the acidity level of your apple cider vinegar?

    We bottle our vinegar with 5% acidity. However, since it is not pasteurized, the acidity level may vary slightly after bottling.

  • Do the vinegars have any alcohol content or are they 0.0% ABV?

    Our sweet and sour vinegars contain no alcohol at all.

    Our other vinegars, since they are not pasteurized, may contain traces of alcohol.

  • How can I get an invoice with my VAT number?

    Simply provide your VAT number when completing your order in the designated field.

    If you have registered on our store, you can update your details in ‘my account’ and/or ‘account details’ to add this information.

    If you've already placed an order and forgot to include your VAT number, you can still email us at info@saborbio.pt on the same day as your order, providing the order number and your VAT number.

  • Do you ship outside of Portugal?

    Yes, we do. For orders outside of Portugal, please place your order via email.

    For shipments outside the EU, please be aware that each country has regulations regarding the importation of food products. Please check with your local customs office to confirm if you can import our products. Additionally, any applicable customs duties will be your responsibility.

  • I have a store and would like to sell your products. Do you offer wholesale?

    Yes, we do. Please send an email to info@saborbio.pt, and we will provide you with our wholesale prices and terms.

  • Do you sell your products in bulk?

    No, our products are not available for sale in bulk.

  • I have a brand and am looking for products to sell under my brand. Do you produce for other brands?

    No, we exclusively produce under our own brand.

  • I have a blog and would like to know if you would be interested in establishing a partnership?

    We are not establishing partnerships with blogs for the time being.

  • I am a fruit producer. Would you be interested in buying my fruit for processing?

    We work exclusively with certified organic fruit.

    We are producers. All the products available on this website are produced by us.
